Despite the dark colours of this beer, we’re sticking with the oxymoron style being a ‘Black American Pale Ale’. The American element being the Cascade hops, the American Pale element being the fact the malt profile of this beer being extremely similar to its older sister beer, Hole Hearted. The tiny addition of dark malt gives this beer its colour and a nice roasted flavour after the tropical hoppy initial hit.

A session beer. Plenty of sweet malt and mouthfeel, bitter, but with deep spicy and soft fruit hop flavours.
Brewery is Donkeystone of Units 17/18 Boarshurst Business Park, Boarshurst Lane, Greenfield, Greater Manchester OL3 7ER. The first in our range of truly crafted ales, this higher strength ale uses all American hops and yeast. Chinook is used for the aroma hop to create the wonderful citrus, grapefruit and pine flavours expected from American hops. Once the brewing process is finished we hit it with huge amounts of dry hops to give an exceptional hoppy finish.
